Pimla Village sets positive example in health sector

Dimapur, April 26 (DIPR): A new health sub –centre building constructed under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) at Pimla Village under Dhansaripar Sub-Division –Dimapur was inaugurated on April 26 by Chief Medical Officer Dimapur (CMO), Dr. Sukhato Sema.
The health sub-centre was constructed and donated by the Pimla Village Community to the Department of Health & Family Welfare Government of Nagaland. While thanking the village community for their kind gesture, Dr. Sukhato said that during the district communalisation conference on 30th March this year, he said the department has awarded this village for their commendable contribution to the department. He also added that he has recommended for state level award for the said village during the State level medical meeting. He urged the staff posted here to be always available to serve the people and health index of this sub centre be available to his office for follow up action.
CMO also said that the concern department is working together with other communitized department for implementing both central and state schemes in health sectors like village health and nutrition day and 100% immunization programme for positive health. Apart from this the department is providing vertical programme on Malaria, T.B, Leprosy and AIDS, the department is conducting Investigation and health talk on this programme for free to benefit the community.
Deputy Chief Medical officer Dimapur, Dr. Ritu Thur in his short speech appreciated the village for their valuable contribution to the government and said that by contributing land & building to the department, the particular village has created a new history in the state, which other villagers need to emulate. He also urged the village to form a committee to keep this formula. He also said that he would recommend other village to visit this village so that they would share their success story.
The sub centre covers five surrounding villages beside Pimla and the service available are OPD, Immunization, ANC, PNC, DOTS centre, Deliveries, Family Planning services, Village Health & Nutrition Day and Referral services. Staffs who are mending this centre include Pharmacist, Nurse and NRHM worker. The welcome speech was delivered by Head GB Pimla P. Dohoi Swu.
