
Dimapur, August 7 (DIPR): The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has finalized the LADP 2016-2017 schemes. During its monthly meeting held at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang on August 6, the Board also recommended the proposal for construction of boys dormitory at JNV, Chare.
A decision was also made to forward the proposal for new registration of Sunrise Rural Welfare Society, Shamator Town to the government along with proposal for the renewal of two societies. Grand in Aid for Kihoto Theological College was also approved.
The meeting was attended by R. Tohanba, Chairman & Parliamentary Secretary, Municipal Affairs, Kejong Chang Parliamentary Secretary, Horticulture, administrative and police officers, DPDB members and municipal affairs officials.
The meeting started with the release of Rural Development activities magazine of the Noksen RD Block by the Chairman, DPDB. Parliamentary Secretary, Horticulture, Kejong Chang appreciated the members for attending the meeting and encouraged to do the same in the coming days also. Director, Municipal Affairs gave a briefing on the activities of the newly established department and enlightened the house about the prospects and scopes of the department in the urban areas of the State.
Peren DPDB recommends transfer of Jalukie Sangtem Village
The monthly Peren DPDB meeting was held on August 6 at DC’s conference hall, New HQ Peren under the chairmanship of ADC Peren, S Tainu. The meeting reviewed the last meeting minutes and recommended the transfer of Jalukie Sangtem Village from RD Block Peren to Jalukie Block. The Board also discussed and recommended opening of Kids Care Academy at Punglwa.
Sales & exhibition on I-Day in Tseminyu
The Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) Tseminyu has decided to organise exhibition-cum-sales of indigenous products from Agri & Allied sectors etc during the Independence Day celebration scheduled at RSA ground, Old Tseminyu Town. The decision was made during the monthly meeting of the Board on August 5 at ADC conference hall under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman SDPDB and ADC Tseminyu, Vikhweno Meratsu.
The ADC asked the departments concerned to initiate and give chances to SHGs to occupy the stalls for exhibition and sales of their products during the Independence Day on August 15.
The meeting deliberated on the proposed schemes of LADP 2016-17 for the 12th Tseminyu A/C and approved the same.
Discussions were also held for the annual departmental sports meet to be held before November 2016. ADC, Vikhweno informed the members that the Inter Departmental Badminton Tournament will be held separately in the month of August 2016.
