Newmai News Network Imphal | April 19 A video conference will be held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 26 with the concerned officials of the Manipur government as part of the reviewing programme on the development works of National Highway-37, the road that connects Imphal and Silchar via Tamenglong and Noney districts. As of now, the development works of the NH-37 are being undertaken by the National Highway Infra-Structure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL). It can be mentioned here that repairing works along the 220 km long road have been going on for the past few years. Even the transporters who feel the need to develop the NH-37 had invested resources towards the road development. According to sources, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds the video conference on April 26, Manipur Chief Secretary, O Nabakishore, top officials from the Manipur Public Works Department (PWD) and others will participate.
