Wokha, February 4 (MExN): The Department of Industries and Commerce, Nagaland, organised a PM Vishwakarma, Banking, Marketing and Entrepreneurship Workshop at the DC’s Conference Hall, Wokha on February 3 to create awareness on government schemes, promote entrepreneurship and strengthen financial literacy.
Welcoming the participants, DIC Wokha General Manager K Myingthungo Kikon stressed the importance of public awareness on available schemes, the registration process, challenges in accessing loans and opportunities under various government initiatives, urging citizens to utilise them for livelihood enhancement and local economic growth.
The workshop featured four technical sessions. Inspector, DIC Wokha, Lirhonthung S Humtsoe presented on schemes under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, while Skill Development Officer Anuranjan Singh spoke on entrepreneurship development, e-commerce, packaging and sales strategies.
LDM, Wokha, C Yanthan delivered a session on financial literacy and credit support for PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, and SL-PMU representative Lohe Lokajia Victoria explained the onboarding process and QR code generation for beneficiaries.
The sessions provided practical insights on entrepreneurship, financial management and digital integration, highlighting flagship schemes such as PM Vishwakarma. The programme concluded with an interactive session and was widely appreciated for promoting self-reliance, entrepreneurship and inclusive development in Wokha.
