Pheto Music Association (PMA) began yet another quest for talented child artistes with the launch of ‘Kids for Fame’ - season 3. The organizers announced the launch of the talent hunt competition on Wednesday, May 25 at Hiyo Café, Dimapur. Managing director of PMA, Kashito Kiba said that issuing of entry forms for the auditions will begin from June. Auditions will be held the same month. Aspiring participants can collect the entry forms from PMA’s respective district co-organisers in Dimapur, Kohima and Tuensang. He added that besides trying to raise the standard of competition this year, the candidates will be thoroughly mentored as the show progresses.
The total prize money for this year’s edition is Rs. two lakh for the winner plus one year educational scholarship. Not only the winner or the finalists, the other competitors will have the opportunity of recording in a professional set up.
“Our vision towards our Naga people has never stopped in any way. This year too we would like to take the challenge in moving ahead by organizing Kids for Fame Season 3, 2011 with better facilities and arrangement… to promote the upcoming hidden talent in Nagaland.” Kiba said that the competition is an opportunity for kids to come forward and make use of the platform and thus, called upon all well-wishers, particularly the parents, the schools and the churches to encourage children to come forward.
In this regard, he expressed that PMA is looking forward to prospective sponsors to help support the participants. Further, he said that they are trying to mobilize the support of co-organisers at the district headquarters. “We welcome co-organisers in the districts to come forward.”

PMA was also behind organizing ‘Nagas got Talent’ in 2010. Competitors from the show have gone on to audition for national reality TV shows. Kiba disclosed that the winner and finalists of the show had auditioned for the popular television channel, Colours’ reality show - ‘India’s Got Talent’ in Guwahati recently. “Three groups have been selected to go for the next round to be held at Kolkata.”
