
Longleng, April 20 (MExN): Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) Camp and LPG Safety Clinic launched at Longleng town on April 20 at Leinnak Gas Agency Longleng. The programme was jointly organized by the Supply Department in collaboration with Indian Oil – AOD, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Indane Area Office, Tinsukia in association with M/s Leinak Gas Agency, Longleng.
DPRO, Longleng in a report stated that lauding the Prime Minister of India for introducing the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme for the benefit of the common people. SDO Civil, D. Robin in his short speech called upon the beneficiaries to avail the facilities provided judiciously for the safety of the users. He informed that the scheme provides subsidies with friendly environment to do away with use of firewood which is hazardous to health and climate change. He also lauded the organizing department and agencies for launching the program in the district.
The President BJP Longleng said that “Longleng was the first district to launch the PMU scheme in the state” while the manager Leinak Gas Agency, Sumon Paul briefed on the norms and guidelines of the PMU. LPG gas was also distributed to the women beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by Ekoni Humtose Assistant Director of Supply, Longleng, NGOs, and Government officials.
