PNBA women fellowship ends

Participants of Poumai Naga Baptist Association women biennial fellowship

Kohima, March 14 (MExN): The 3-day Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) Women Biennial Fellowship concluded on March 10. The event hosted by Phaibung Khullen Baptist Church saw participation of around 1,500 women delegates from 50 Baptist churches.

Rev. R.V. Thakzü, minister at large IEM speaking on the topic “Women for church growth” said, God fearing mothers raise their children spiritually healthy, and bear fruit in their lives. He also pointed out, children who are fed with proper spiritual food will remain morally and spiritually upright even after they depart from the parents.

Encouraging the mothers to pray hard for their children, he said “Many good children in the society are result of mothers’ prayers.” The other speakers, P. Vashti Samuel spoke on “Women: A channel of peace”, Z.D. Solomi on “Educate your child in Godly way”, and L. Esther Vane on “The hope of Christian faith.”

The other highlights of the programme included competition like group song, talent show and extempore speech.

In group song competition, first prize was bagged by Phuba Thapham Baptist church women society, second by Tunjoy Baptist church, and third prize by Poumai Baptist Church Dimapur.

In choreography competition 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes were bagged by Laii Baptist Church, Lakhamai Baptist Church, and Chukhrei Mai Baptist Church 
respectively.

The 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize for talent show was bagged by Poumai Baptist church Kohima, Phuba Thapham Baptist Church and Tungam Afü Baptist Church respectively. Hundreds of women rededicated their lives to Christ during the fellowship.
