Meluri, September 16 (DIPR): The 6th edition of Pochury Black Day Memorial Cup concluded on September 15 with Adviser NBDA, NEPED, Naiba Konyak as the chief guest.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Naiba Konyak, while appreciating the Pochury Student's Union for organising such historical and memorable event stressed that the “Black Day” is not only for the people of Pochury alone, but for the whole of Nagas in their strive for self-determination. He stated that the supreme sacrifice made for the cause of the nation shall remembered in history.
A solidarity note was delivered by VCC Matikhrü, Masi Katiry during which he highlighted the incident of September 6, 1960, where men folk of the entire village were massacred by the Indian army.
The grand finale of the 6th edition of Pochury Black Day Memorial Trophy was played between Meluri FC and united brothers' club, and the trophy was bagged by Meluri Football Club.
