
Chümoukedima, June 23 (MExN): Western Pochury Hoho Nagaland (WPHN) has officially changed its name to Pochury Hoho Western Nagaland (PHWN) following a resolution passed during its General Body Meeting held on May 31, 2025, at the Chümoukedima Town Council Hall.
The change in nomenclature was recommended by the Constitution Review Committee and has been adopted for all future correspondence and official communication, according to a press release issued by the Hoho.
In the same meeting, the PHWN elected new office bearers for the tenure 2025–2027. Zhitho Nyuthe was unanimously elected as President, while the Vice Presidents include Er. Paoseh Pochury, Asumong Pochury, Rhevitho Nguori, Sachutho Pojar, Risiru Yitsiithu, Chiru Thuzu, Xepe Thlivuri, Ruvisie, Yithachu Thuu, and Zhupeng Apungho.
Other key office bearers elected include the General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Finance Secretary, Information & Publicity Secretary, Social & Cultural Secretary, Statistical Secretary, and Treasurer.
An Advisory Board was also constituted, comprising Er. Chirhotho Rasutho Nyuosou, Er. S. Posatho, and Pill. Additionally, sector representatives were appointed for Chümoukedima (Hopeson Thiivuri), Dimapur ( Rasangthvu Perry), and Toulazouma ( Rhetsiisie Joshuo).
The newly elected President, Zhitho Nyuthe, urged all members to uphold the organization’s motto, “Peace – Pass It On,” and work towards strengthening community unity and development under the new nomenclature.
