The Pochury region NNC/FGN maintained the true spirit of Naga Reconciliation since the signing of the Covenant of Reconciliation by our top three leaders, S. Singnyu, Kedaghe FGN, SS. Khaplan, Chairman GPRN/NSCN and Issac Chishi Swu, Chairman NSCN/GPRN. The Pochury region NNC/FGN selflessly gave our efforts tour to further spread and strengthens the Naga Reconciliation among the Pochuries in particular and the Naga in general on 10th November, 2009.
However, the NSCN-IM did not maintain the Covenant of Reconciliation. Instead of maintaining the Historic signed, the “Covenant of Reconciliation” the NSCN-IM denounces the Naga Reconciliation and intentionally violates the Covenant of reconciliation within the Pochury region.
On 6th Jan 2010, 22 (twenty two) National Workers of both the Pochury region NNC/FGN and Tisary region GPRN/NSCN were reached Meluri village regarding to spread the ongoing Naga reconciliation process. The same day the NSCN-IM warned to immediately vacate the village if not your group will face attack. In respect of Reconciliation the Pochury region NNC/FGN and Tisary region GPRN/NSCN withdrew on the next day and reached Wezihu on 8th Jan 2010. The NSCN-IM then start in searched to attack up to Wezihu amidst the Public leaders as well as men and women folk of Wezihu rushed and intervened peace.
In the month of March right after Reconciliation meets at Meluri a cadre of NSCN-IM Pochury region warned the Pochury Region FGN that Reconciliation is under processed so does not be free movement under the control areas of the NSCN-IM. Moreover, on 20th April 2010, the NSCN-IM under the command of Leiut. Akhan Rongmai forced arrested Mr. Abel Keory, Speaker Leacy Hoho, Pochury Region FGN had blindfolded and tied his limps back then start mercilessly assault and tortured him.
Maintained maximum restraint and has been doing its utmost to further strengthen the bonds of reconciliation among the Pochuries in particular and Nagas in general. With such a commitment in last week of March 2010, the Pochury region FGN has refused to accommodate Mr. Asang of Sutsu village, a cadre of NSCN-IM Pochury region when he surrendered before FGN authorities but took him back to Mr. Tsomong the P. R. O. NSCN-IM Pochury region. Besides, the Naga army, FGN had twice seized the vehicle of an NSCN-IM functionary upon routing frisking at Wezihu and Phek Town however, that was released unconditionally.
On 2nd June 2010, Lt. Col. Jackson W. Pfithu warned the National workers of the Pochury Region NNC/FGN to vacate the Meluri Town, failing to vacate the same shall be face arrest. At the same time, he challenged the National workers of the Pochury region FGN to fight with arms or physically anywhere in Pochury area. However, in my response to Lt. Col. Jackson W. Pfithu that we are not here to fight with our own brothers but to defend our tribe in particular and the Naga Nation in general and to maintain peace, unity among brotherhood.
On 7th Sept 2010, out of the 22 (twenty two) National Workers 11 (eleven) National workers along with 9 arms and ammunition were forcibly captured under the command of Lt. Col. Jackson W. Pfithu and the arrested National workers were started physically assault and tortured amidst which two of them were luckily escaped.
Not satisfied with the assault and tortures, Lt. Col. Jackson W. Pfithu, propagating that the Forum for Naga Reconciliation which was formed under the aegis of Indian and the main policy of the Indian. Moreover, the ongoing reconciliation processed by FNR is very partial.
Still Lt. Col. Jackson W. Pfithu was hurt and operating the houses of the National workers from village to village, area to areas under Pochury and even threatens the parents of the Pochury Region FGN to excommunicate citizenship from the village and harassed the families. Moreover, he and the other cadres of the NSCN-IM Pochury Region often threatens the National Workers through over phone and warned to vacate Meluri Town at the earliest. In case, Pochury Region FGN workers who found at Meluri and village will face arrest.
Right after the highest-level meet in Dimapur, still Lt. Col. Jackson and even PRO Tsomongthe too to immediate withdraw the National workers of the Pochury region FGN from Pochury land, if not they will face arrest. Jackson also warned to surrender into mainstream of NSCN-IM and if the Pochury Region FGN couldn’t do the same no more warning but to arrange own coffin.
These actions happened by the NSCN-IM Pochury Region within the Pochury Area which is completely violation of the “Covenant of Reconciliation” and highest level meets on 18th September 2010. Therefore, we the Pochury Region NNC/FGN appeals to the FNR and JWG of the three National Political Groups to intervene and dispense true justice the matter at the earliest.
