By Tialila Kikon 1. Indeed Life is beautiful not as much when ugly we feed. Peace is harmony not as sure when chaos we create. Love is life not as deep when hate we feel. 2. A Fleeting Thought No hungry children in the world if ammunitions could feed no bloodshed on earth if humanity is the only religion no confused nation if hypocrisy spared its plastic smile. 3. And We All Want Peace All the leaders of the world say peace is all they want and keep strengthening their military might. All the people of the world say peace is all they want and keep feeding their inner demons. Human beings! Lost creatures. How long must we roam in this confused wilderness. 4. Children of Conflict Never a peaceful dream never a roof above to call home never a fairy tale to read no prince and no princess no doll house and no garden except greedy grown-ups who send little boys to play with guns and bombs while little girls are painfully made woman. Tired souls they become. Children of conflict. Sigh! Nothing to inherit. Only lies and sagas of unending misery. The above poems were selected and displayed at the Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre, Vancouver, Canada on March 12, 2016 at the WIN (Writers International Network) – UNESCO World Poetry Month Celebration on the theme Love and World Peace.
