Dimapur, March 12 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dimapur, Khrusa Keyho, inaugurated a Police Assistance Booth and Public Toilet below the Flyover Bridge near Blue Hills Bus Station, Dimapur on March 12.

An update received here stated that the police assistance booth is expected to play a key role in maintaining law and order in busy areas such as Hongkong Market, the Flyover Bridge area, and Blue Hills Bus Stand, while the public toilet will provide much-needed sanitation facilities, especially for women, elderly individuals, and differently-abled persons.

The facilities were constructed and donated by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) Councillor of Ward No. 5, Kuhoi Zhimo, to address the needs of the public and law enforcement personnel in the crowded area.

Speaking at the event, Kuhoi Zhimo emphasised the necessity of a public toilet for visitors, especially the elderly and differently-abled individuals. He also highlighted the need for an upgraded police assistance booth, stating that while the government can provide such facilities, citizen contributions to society are equally important.

“The police assistance booth will help personnel carry out their duties more efficiently, both day and night,” Zhimo added, expressing appreciation for the developmental vision of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton.

DCP Khrusa Keyho assured that the police assistance booth will be operational round the clock, providing essential services to the public at any time. He also highlighted that the newly constructed public toilet is meant for public convenience.

On behalf of Nagaland Police and the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Keyho extended gratitude to Kuhoi Zhimo for his contribution.

Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) President, Zasiviko Zakiesato, also spoke at the event, stating that public expectations from DMC councillors have increased over time. He urged all councillors to fulfill their commitments towards their respective wards and lauded Zhimo for setting an example.
