Police dispose impounded liquor

Morung Express News Dimapur | August 6   A huge consignment of impounded liquor was destroyed today by the East Police Station, Dimapur. The illicit consignment, containing 1195 crates of various brands of rum, whiskey and beer was recovered from a truck on July 19. The truck was intercepted near the New Dhansiri Bridge while it was reportedly proceeding to Kohima.   Estimated to be worth over Rs. 16 lakhs, the entire consignment was disposed today at Burma Camp after completing the necessary legal formalities, East PS stated. Two persons, the driver and handyman of the truck, were arrested in connection to the case.
