Kohima, September 27 (DIPR): A community awareness programme on ‘harmful effect of tobacco and COTPA 2003’ for police personnel of 4th NAP Thizama Kohima was held at Regimental School Hall, Thizama on September 27. Commandant 4th NAP Battalion, Thizama Kohima, Vekhosa Chakhesang, NPS highlighted some of the internal problems faced by the battalion personnel in terms of insufficient medical assistance, financial problems and other related family problems. District Nodal Officer, NTCP Kohima, Dr. Arenla Walling, as resource person, highlighted on the background of tobacco and its scenario in Nagaland. The participants also took a pledge on anti-tobacco which was administered by the Nodal Officer of the District. Around 300 numbers of police personnel and the school children and teachers attended the programme.
