Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): Naga People’s Front (NPF), Dimapur division has lamented the installation of CCTV in polling stations – 7 Jharnapani and 14 Medziphema BI-III under 5 Ghaspani-II A/C terming it “favouritism”. In a letter to the deputy commissioner & district election officer, Dimapur, President K Shilu Sangtam sought clarification on what basis the aforementioned polling stations have to be monitored, “as the said polling stations have been peacefully conducting the election process in the past, instead there are many sensitive polling stations requiring intensive monitoring.” The letter stated it will be clear that “NPF stronghold is being targeted and election mechanism is being used in favor of opposition party unless CCTV from these polling stations are cancelled and move to more deserving sensitive polling stations.”
