Political Shift: NPP leaders, members in Nagaland join Congress

A group of NPP leaders along with 13 members joined the Congress party at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur on February 8.

Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): A group of NPP leaders, led by Sudesh Bhagat, President, Minority Department - State, and Jaser Meru, General Secretary (Org), NPYF, along with 13 members, officially joined the Congress party at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur on February 8.

Informing this in a press release Communications Department, NPCC stated that the joining event was attended by L Chuba Yimchunger, NPCC General Secretary In charge - Dimapur, Javed Sarwar, Chairman, Minority Department, NPCC, Kutoho Chishi, President, Dimapur DCC, and other PCC members and secretaries, and Congress workers.

A short programme was conducted to welcome the new entrants, led by Kumjimong, General Secretary, Dimapur DCC.

Javed Sarwar delivered the welcome address, thanking the new members and acknowledging their good work during their previous endeavors. He further encouraged them to fully support and work towards strengthening the Congress party in Nagaland.

Short speeches were also given by L Chuba Yimchunger, Sudesh Bhagat, Jaser Meru, and Hiketo Shohe.
