Posting of EACs at Akuhaito, Saptiqa not materialized

Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton today informed that the request for posting of EACs at Akuhaito and Saptiqa EAC HQs has not been materialized since there is an acute shortage of administrative officers in the level of EAC.


Replying this to MLA Er Picto Shohe in starred question, Patton said that most of the EAC Hqs are allowed to be manned by the officers from District HQs or Hqs with additional charge.


At present, Tsiatsusie, EAC has been given additional charge of EAC, Akuhaito.


With regard to the posting of EAC, Saptiqa; after Nockpai Konyak, EAC Satakha who was holding additional charge of EAC, Saptiqa was transferred vide Notification  No. PAR-4/24/2009 (CSB) pt-ll B dated 18/02/2019 none of the administrative officers could be posted.


However, the respective Deputy Commissioner is authorized to make necessary arrangement to look after all the vacant administrative headquarters as per need, he stated.


Patton informed the House that the government is contemplating to establish a Police Station at Atoizu ADC HQs and a proposal has been received from Superintendent of Police Zunheboto for up-gradation of Police Outpost Atoizu to Police Station. 


The Police Headquarters has also recommended the same and forwarded to the government, he added. The government has requested the department re-submit by working out how this Police Station can be manned without post creation.
