Dimapur, Aug 1 (MExN): The ultimatum served to the NSCN-IM by the Poumai Naga Union for what was stated only as “grievances of the Poumais,” has been withdrawn. This comes following a meeting with the NSCN-IM’s Kilo Kilonser on July 24 at camp Hebron. The meeting was held along with the Poumai Students’ Union and Poumai Women’s Organization, a note from the union’s president ML Markson stated. It was informed that the Kilonser, Azheto Chophy, had assured the organizations to ‘dispense fair and impartial justice.’ Asserting that the magnanimity of the Poumais cannot be misconstrued as a sign of weakness under any circumstances, the union has appealed to the NSCN-IM to take up the matter with all seriousness and dispense the justice needed.
