KOHIMA, DECEMBER 4 (MExN): The Power Department has informed the public not to touch or go near power lines at Old Minister Hill, Forest Colony, T-Khel Model Village, Levi resort, IG Stadium and New Secretariat areas. A press release from the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Kohima said that conversion of 33kV Kohima Ring Main feeder to GI Lattice Towers between Old Minister Hill to New Secretariat passing through the above mentioned jurisdictions shall be test charged at the rated voltage at 7:00 am on December 6; and shall remain charged thereafter. “Therefore, all the public are informed not to touch the said line nor go near the same. Anybody doing so shall be doing so at their own risk and the Department of Power shall not be held responsible for any untoward incident whatsoever,” the press release added.
