PUNGRO, November 27 (MExN): In a major boost and relieve for the new villages under Pungro sub- division in Kiphire district, the Power Department Nagaland has successfully installed solar home lighting to 96 household in four villages including, Amikioro village, Tukiavong village, Khaha village and Canaan village under the scheme Subhagya/ infrastructures 2017-18 on November 25.
A press release stated that speaking at the dedication programme, SDO (Elect) Pungro, N Rumphio Lotha expressed happiness that the residents of remote areas could now access solar home lighting in all the four villages. He also appealed to the general public to co-operate with the department in all necessary activities.
Meanwhile, all the four villages VCC/GBs on behalf of the village, expressed gratitude to power department officials Engineer-in- Chief, Chief Engineer D&R and EE (E) Kiphire, for their initiative and the successful completion of the work in such remote area. They also assured for full cooperation for any work in the days to come.
