
Mon, February 4 (MExN): The Department of Power, Mon district will be undertaking a ‘Disconnection Drive’ across Mon District against “defaulting consumers who have failed to pay their electricity bills and those engaged in the illegal use of electricity like looping, hooking, use of coil heaters, meter bypassing and other such activities.”
In this regard, the SDO (E), Mon Electrical Sub-Division has stated that “consumers found engaged in unauthorized or illegal use of electricity will face strict action as per the prevailing laws and regulations.” All the consumers are therefore advised to clear their outstanding dues immediately to avoid disconnection. The ‘disconnection drive’ will be conducted in February 2025 at Mon hq, Aboi, Tobu and Tizit section.
