Kohima, August 8 (MExN): A landslide at Kisama has severely impacted the 33kV transmission line that supplies electricity to the Southern Angami areas from the Kohima 132/33kV substation. The incident, which occurred on August 8, has led to a total disruption of power supply in the affected regions.
The Department of Power, through a press release issued by Executive Engineer Namheu Khate Zeliang, informed that efforts are underway to restore the transmission line as quickly as possible. The department requested consumers and the public in affected areas to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience caused during this time. The department assured that all measures are being taken to restore power at the earliest.
