Kohima, May 6 (MExN): A representative to NPCC from 59th Seyochung-Sitimi Assembly Constituency has highlighted the “misgovernance” of the State Power Minister, who represents the 59th A/C under Seyochung ADC headquarters of Kiphire district.
SK Anar, who is also the NPCC Secretary, in a press release further alleged that in the 15 years as an elected member of the state assembly, the Minister failed to repair the existing roads in the constituency. “There is no proper village road and the worst pitiable road condition (is) seen under his own area (Amahator-Kichang road), not to speak about other area development activities.”
As a Power Minister, it added, “not even a single electrical wire pole has been replaced under entire Kiphire district; also there is continuous blackout of electricity in his own constituency.”
The NPCC Secretary further claimed that so far the present Power Minister has paid more attention to other district headquarters for power line supply, “completely neglecting his own constituency.”
“The public of the 59th A/C has elected him consecutively for 3 times, however, after becoming the cabinet minister not even once an official tour to his constituency was made,” it was alleged.
“As such we the public of the 59th Seyochung-Sitimi A/C would like to question one and all, what is the use of electing a leader who does not contribute anything to the development of the constituency ...” the release added. “It is high time that we all should retrospect the past mistake and join hands together to pray to our Almighty that we must elect a dynamic leader who will bring development and prosperity to our impoverished constituency.”
