Dimapur, May 31 (MExN): Power supply in several areas under Dhansiripar Sub-station has been affected due to damage to 33/11KV, 2.5 MVA power transformer at Dhansiripar.
The affected areas are Selouphe, Singrijan, Sangtamtilla area, Sovima village, Unity village, Sodzulho village, 5th Mile Model Village, 7th Mile village, Deizephe village, Tsithrongse village, and Murise village. The Executive Engineer, Electrical Division, Chümoukedima informed in a press release that while an alternative arrangement was made temporarily from the nearest sub- station, the equipment at other stations are also loaded to its maximum.
Accordingly, uninterrupted power supply cannot be maintained and the department is implementing load shedding in the affected areas, it informed. Expressing regret over the issue, the department has requested all the electricity consumers in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience till power supply is restored back to normal.
