Power shutdown on June 18

Tseminyu, Wokha, parts of Kohima and Pughoboto to be affected

DIMAPUR, JUNE 16 (MExN): The Department of Power has announced a scheduled power shutdown on June 18 to facilitate maintenance work at the 132/33kV Chiephobozou Sub-station under the Transmission Division in Kohima.

 According to a press release issued by the Executive Engineer, Er. Namheu Khate Zeliang, the 132kV Chiephobozou-Zhadima Transmission Line will remain shut from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the said day. 

The shutdown is expected to cause a total power outage in several areas, including Tseminyu district, Wokha district, Northern Angami area of Kohima, and Pughoboto area.  

“All consumers and the public in the affected areas are requested to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period,” the department stated.
