
Kohima, October 11 (MExN): The power supply to Kiphire and Phek districts have been affected due to line fault in the 66 kV Tuensang-Kiphire Transmission line since the afternoon of October 11. The disruption included power generation of Likimro Hydro Electric Project (HEP), informed a press release from the Executive Engineer (EE) Transmission Division Kohima. Alternative source for catering power supply through 132 kV Kohima-Meluri-Kiphire transmission line is also affected as one tower near Losami village in Phek district has been dismantled due of a landslide as a result of two-laning road earth cutting works by NHIDCL, it added. Stating that Department is making all efforts to restore the 66 kV transmission line at the earliest, the EE requested the consumers to bear with the inconvenience caused.
