Tuensang, August 31 (MExN): Power supply to Tuensang, Noklak, and Shamator districts has been disrupted due to a technical fault that developed in the 66/33kV, 10 MVA Power Transformer at the Tuensang Sub-Station on August 30.
A press release from Er. Hekaito Assumi, Executive Engineer (EE), Transmission Division Mokokchung, informed that while the department is making all possible arrangements to rectify the problem, an emergency arrangement has been put in place to supply power to the affected areas from the existing 5MVA Transformer.
Accordingly, there will be frequent load restrictions until the 10 MVA Power Transformer is fully restored and charged, the EE added.
The department urged consumers to bear with the inconvenience as it is making its best efforts to resolve the issue at the earliest.
