Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): POWERGRID observed Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, under the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.”
The week commenced with an inauguration ceremony at the POWERGRID NER Regional Headquarters in Shillong on October 28. The event was graced by the Chief General Manager of the Asset Management Group, during which POWERGRID employees took the Integrity Pledge.
Following the pledge, participants engaged in a walkathon to promote integrity, transparency, and accountability in the workplace, emphasizing the importance of eradicating corruption.
Throughout the week, various initiatives were undertaken to enhance public sensitivity to ethical practices and raise awareness about the detrimental effects of corruption.
Key events included Inter-School Debate Competition at Kendriya Vidyalaya NEHU on the topic "Social Media: A Double-Edged Sword in the Fight Against Corruption”; Drawing Competition at Vivekananda LP School; Essay Writing Competition among POWERGRID employees; and Vendor Meet to foster discussions on integrity.
The week culminated with a closing ceremony on November 1, at the POWERGRID RHQ Office in Lapalang. Dr Debasisha Mishra, Assistant Professor at IIM Shillong, delivered an address to the employees of POWERGRID.
