Kohima, April 10 (MExN): A Public–Private Practitioner Training (PPPT) on vector-borne disease management was conducted at Hotel Vivor, Kohima, on April 9 by the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) under the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland.
According to a press release, the training covered surveillance, diagnosis and treatment, IHIP reporting, and early outbreak detection and response in malaria. Sessions also focused on reporting through the IHIP-IDSP portal, testing facilities for dengue and chikungunya as per NVBDCP guidelines, and Japanese Encephalitis (JE) immunization.
Resource persons for the programme included Dr. N. I. Singh, Additional Senior Regional Director, Regional Office for Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Imphal; Dr. Nilam Somalkar, Regional Director, Bhubaneswar; Dr. Imkongtemsu Longchar, Joint Director, DoHFW; and Dr. Nyanthung Kikon, State Nodal Officer (SNO).
The session was chaired by Dr. Tinurenla Anichari, Joint Director. The introductory session and welcome address were delivered by Dr. Imnapokim, Joint Director and State Programme Officer, NVBDCP. The programme concluded with closing remarks by Ms. Imsubenla, PH & Training Consultant.
