Practical training on hospitality and housekeeping concludes

Kohima, October 3 (MExN): Five members from Fakim and Thanamir villages underwent nine-day practical training for master trainers on hospitality and housekeeping at Hotel Grandeur in Kohima from September 21 to 29.  

The training curriculum comprised of introduction to basics of hospitality and housekeeping, both theoretical and practical. Practical training on cooking and presentation, and serving guests were also covered amongst other topics.  

The master trainers are expected to support their respective Eco-Tourism Boards in Fakim and Thanamir villages to run the community guest house as a part of the project on “Community based Eco-Tourism” which is being implemented in collaboration with the North East Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA) with funding support from the Tata Trusts.
