Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): Pranab College in Dimapur has achieved a major milestone by becoming the first college in Nagaland to sign a Letter of Understanding (LoU) with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). The partnership establishes a collaborative framework aimed at promoting financial-market education, professional development, industry exposure, and career opportunities for students.
Under this agreement, students will receive support and opportunities to appear for NISM Certification Examinations, enhancing their professional competencies in the financial-services and securities sector. Additionally, the collaboration paves the way for Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) to upgrade the teaching capabilities and professional understanding of the faculty community regarding securities markets.
The LOU also facilitates study tours to NISM for students, offering practical institutional exposure to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world financial practices. Furthermore, the partnership creates avenues for placements and career pathways in allied sectors, strengthening student employability.
Pranab College noted that this collaboration underscores its commitment to industry-academia linkages and employability-oriented education, ultimately bridging higher education and the financial-services industry in Nagaland.
