Kohima, July 9 (MExN): The Baptist Theological College (BTC) conducted spiritual awakening programme from July 1-3. Rev. Vepocu Epao, Pastor, Immanuel Baptist Church and Zanbemo Kithan, Pastor, Yikhum Baptist Church ministered the word of God under the theme ‘Make us Strong.’
Rev. Vepocu Epao highlighted the coming of revival to Nagaland and spoke on the importance of spiritual awakening today. He stated that people need a great spiritual awakening. Theological teachers and students should commit themselves to pray for a great revival movement to come to our land, he stated. He challenged the teachers and students to receive the power of God and further asked believers to empty themselves and be filled with the Spirit so that they will be strong in the Lord.
Zanbemo Kithan stated that Christians have to be strong because they have an enemy. The enemy is the prince of this world, he stated. “The devil rules in the life of people by sin... The word of God advises believers to resist him.”
He also challenged the community to learn from the life and ministry of Paul. “Satan fears to hear the name of Jesus and even the name of Paul because Jesus is in him. Paul was strong in all the circumstance because Jesus was in him (2 Cor. 11:23).”
