The pre-Christmas celebration of the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench was observed here at the Bar Room and Multipurpose hall today in Kohima.
During the programme, Justice Songkhupchung Serto said that Christmas is celebrated because of ‘the salvation that is given to us through the birth of Jesus Christ.’
He said it is a time to spread and share love and kindness to one another. Serto therefore prayed for good health, peace, happiness during the Christmas season and the salvation that God has given. He also asked the people to pray for goodwill and love to continue among each other. The programme was hosted by Serto who is retiring as judge next year.
Justice Lanusungkum Jamir who is also the Executive Chairperson, Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) thanked the host Justice Serto for the generosity of organising the programme and prayed for blessings for his family.
On the occasion, Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench Neiko Akami, NJS gave Christmas greetings and the High Court Choir presented songs. The programme was led by Dr N Renthungo Jungio, Assistant Registrar and Rajenlung, Joint Registrar pronounced the vote of thanks.
