Prelude Meet for upcoming Inter-Tribe Cultural Exchange programme

Kohima, August 6 (MExN): As a prelude to the upcoming Inter-Tribe Cultural Exchange Programme, an informal consultative meeting was held on August 5 at Hotel Japfü, Kohima.

The event, tentatively scheduled for October 4, is being organized under the theme “Bridging Social Divides Through Cultural Exchange,” with a special focus on promoting unity among tribes and empowering the younger generation.

Tribal leaders and representatives from various Hohos based in Kohima participated in the meeting, offering insights and suggestions for the successful execution of the programme.

The gathering also marks an important step in the lead-up to the Lotha Hoho’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, a significant milestone for the community.

During the discussion, tribal leaders shared their perspectives on moving the programme forward and outlined their expectations for the main event. The meeting served as a platform to foster collaboration and mutual understanding among tribes in the spirit of cultural harmony.

Chairing the session, the Chairman of Lotha Hoho Kohima emphasized that this year’s programme is aimed at bridging cultural divides in alignment with the chosen theme. He further highlighted that the central focus would be on promoting youth engagement, encouraging their active involvement in preserving and celebrating indigenous heritage.

The Chairman expressed his appreciation to all participants for their valuable inputs and solidarity, underscoring the collective commitment towards making the upcoming event a meaningful and inclusive celebration.
