Preparations for FLNAT 2026 across Peren district underway

Peren, March 13 (MExN): In preparation for the Financial Literacy Assessment Test (FLNAT) 2026, a comprehensive mobilization drive is underway across Peren District. The assessment, scheduled for March 21, is being conducted under the flagship ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society) programme, which is part of the broader Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram.

A press release received here stated that the assessment will be held simultaneously at 112 centres spread across schools and villages in the district. The mobilization efforts, which commenced on March 3, are being spearheaded by the District Education Officer, Limadangit Jamir, who has been visiting various Educational Block Resource Centres (EBRCs) to review preparations and interact with volunteers and learners.

During the visit to Ahthibung EBRC on March 11, Jamir encouraged the voluntary teachers to continue contributing to society through their noble service and to take the responsibility of teaching and guiding learners with dedication and commitment. Appreciating the encouraging turnout of participants, he congratulated the Block Coordinators and the Teachers of Trainers (TOTs) for their efforts in mobilizing and preparing volunteers for the upcoming assessment.

The programme also included a brief interaction session between volunteers and trainees, fostering better coordination and understanding of the objectives of the FLNAT examination. The session concluded with the distribution of examination materials and refreshments to the participants.

As part of the ongoing drive, the DEO had previously visited the Tening EBRC on March 10, where similar interactions and preparatory activities were conducted to ensure district-wide readiness.

The FLNAT initiative under the ULLAS programme aims to strengthen functional literacy and numeracy among adult learners, promoting inclusive education and lifelong learning opportunities for all sections of society.
