Preparations are underway for the commemoration of 100 years of Naga Club organised by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) to be held on October 31. Under the theme ‘Celebrating The Legacy’, the commemoration will be held at the Naga Solidarity park, Kohima.

According to the organizing committee, the day is observed to honor and salute the Naga Club as today's generation of Nagas "respectfully look back at the wisdom of our ancestors who handed down to us the foundation of our freedom and nationhood through their expressed declaration to the world that: 'We should not be thrust to the mercy of people who could never subjugate us; but leave us alone to determine for ourselves as in ancient times'."

The day is further observed to honor and salute the Naga Club.

Philippus Petrus Visser, United Nation's Consultant for Peace building and Dialogue will grace the celebration as the honored guest. Tapan Bose, Former General Secretary, South Asia Program for Human Rights (SAPHR) will share on 'My Journey with the Nagas', while Northern Nagas will deliver a speech on 'Our Side of the Story'.

The epic tales of struggles and sufferings will be shared by the Southern Nagas while special numbers will be presented by various Naga Tribes.
