Niuland, July 1 (MExN): In a crackdown on regulatory violations, 15 pharmacies in Niuland district have had their licences cancelled for failing to comply with statutory provisions under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
The cancellation order was issued after a Joint Enforcement Drive comprising the Niuland District Administration, Police Department, and Chief Medical Office, Dimapur, led by Assistant Drugs Controller Martemjen Longkumer and DCO Boto Sema, conducted inspections of pharmacies on July 1 in the district.
As per the order issued by the State Drugs Control Administration, Kohima, 15 pharmacist licences in Niuland district were cancelled due to non-compliance with show-cause notices, violating Rule 65(2) of the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945, and Section 42 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, added a DIPR report.
