
Kohima, July 16 (MExN): In view of the Presidential Election, 2022 to be held on July 18 at Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Kohima, the office of the SP Kohima has issued traffic regulations which will be enforced as part of the security arrangement.
According to the PRO Kohima Police:
Only vehicles with the following car passes will be allowed entry to the Assembly Secretariat.
• ‘Z’ (White letter with red background) -For Legislators
• ‘Y’ (White letter with Green background)- For concerned departments and media
Only those vehicles having Car Pass will be permitted to proceed towards Assembly Secretariat from Assembly Gate. No escort vehicle/visitors vehicle shall be allowed from this point.
No vehicle will be allowed to be parked by the roadside from 0600 hrs onwards during Presidential Election at the following routes:
• From BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island
• From Raj Bhavan till M.S Classic Island
• From Classic Island to Assembly Secretariat via Razhü point and High School
• From New CM Official Residence, Phezoucha to Assembly Secretariat
• From VVIP Residential Complex, Thizama to Assembly Secretariat
The PRO also informed that heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during Presidential Election session, from 6:00 am till the election process is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 0600 hrs (morning). Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to be parked along ‘D’ Block road.
“While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, the police will tow away the defaulting vehicles and the charges will be borne by the vehicles owners,” the Police added.
