President of India, Droupadi Murmu will be paying a two day visit to Nagaland from November 2. In honour of her visit to the state, a civic reception will take place on November 2 at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima at 3:00 PM.
In view of this, the Dimapur Police has imposed certain restrictions from 6:00 am of November 2 to 6:00 pm of November 3 within Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts in the interest of security exigency. The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur informed that there will be restriction on use of any kind of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) like drones etc; conduct of any kind of fire practice by security forces/civil police/ civil police/ private firing range or any civilian holder of licensed fire arms; and bursting of any firecrackers.
On her arrival, the President will be received by the Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister, Deputy CM and Chief Secretary.
Murmu will be felicitated by the CNTC, ENPO, TPO and representatives of other tribes and communities. Murmu will virtually inaugurate, lay foundation stones and launch several projects. They include 13 new GPSs, 4 new GMS buildings, 14 new GHSs, 1 new GHSS building, GHSS Mon Auditorium, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidlaya Hostel Building, 2 residential hostels for underprivileged girl children in Mokokchung HQ and Peren HQ, 13 bridges and 11 roads across Nagaland, a new treasury building with SBI branch at Capital Complex Kohima, 10 Eklavya Model Residential Schools across Nagaland, and setting up of Smart Classrooms in 190 government schools across Nagaland.
