Product of poor drainage: One of the many places that was inundated by floodwaters after the previous night’s torrential rains in Dimapur on Friday, June 10. The place seen in the picture is a busy garage located at Khermahal behind the hip and happening Jumping Bean. Residents of ‘Dhobinullah’ and houses built along the edge of the stream locally known as - baloo noti or pagla noti’, which demarcates the boundary between Dimapur district and Karbi Anglong, Assam - bore the brunt of nature’s fury.
