Kohima, July 17 (MExN): A seminar on “Natural resources, skill manpower and development of North East” took place today at St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama under Kohima district.
The College hosted Professor Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam & Mizoram and PB Acharya, Governor of Nagaland & Manipur as speakers.
Professor Mukhi in his speech spoke for the need of development of the Northeastern states.
He said that one should learn to manage natural resources so that it will create both wealth and jobs.
He also stressed on the need to increase trade and economy of Nagaland.
Acharya said the need of the hour is the education of skills for the betterment of the society as it accounts for more than academic excellence in pursuit for the development.
