Dimapur, July 17 (MExN): Team Sovima 21-26 has started its Project Green Sovima by organising a plantation drive in collaboration with the office of DFO, Dimapur on July 17.
The youth of Sovima through the guidance of officials from DFO's office planted about 1000 saplings of varied species of plants supplied by the latter along the ICFAI University road.
Youth bodies from the nine Khels under Sovima have been entrusted to undertake jungle clearing and nurturing of the planted saplings every week on rotation basis in the next couple of months.
Earlier last nonth, DFO Dimapur had provided some three hundred sapling and another 1000 sapling this morning for which Team Sovima 21-26 places on record its sincere gratitude and appreciation.
This was stated in a release issued by chairman, Sovima Village Council.
