Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): With the perspective of creating a gender inclusive society to accelerate the growth and support women-led enterprises, a short-film screening event was conducted at YouthNet Made in Nagaland Centre and YouthNet Incubation Centre, Dimapur on September 9.
A total of 60 participants in total attended the screening, organised as a part of Project Her&Now, a press release informed.
Through the Her&Now short film series campaign, the project aims to increase the visibility of the entrepreneurial spirit of women and gender minorities in India, it said. The Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival, one of the leading film festivals of the NE and a pioneer in its field, is the screening partner of series, it informed.
The screening event was also attended by some guests from IDAN and Dhriiti, it added.
As per the release, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is implementing the project ‘Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Start-ups by Women’ (Project Her&Now) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
It is being implemented in partnership with the Indian Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE), to improve the framework conditions for women-led enterprises in India, it said.
The project works with its partner Ministry as well as local implementing partners to create gender-sensitive government support schemes, to provide needs-based incubation and acceleration programmes, and to generate a mindset-change in society, in order to benefit existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs, it added.
