Project Subroto/District Sub-Juniors football coaching in Kohima

A week long Project Subroto/District Sub-Juniors football coaching camp for boys and girls of 10-13 years got underway today at Thizama village ground. The camp, to continue till September 13, is organized by Vision Hill School Phezoucha Kohima in collaboration with Football License Coaches of Kohima District (FLCoKD) under the patronage of Kohima District Football Association (KDFA).
Gracing the opening ceremony, KDFA president Mhasimhalie Mathew Yhome called upon the youngster to make the best use of their talents.

He urged upon the youngster to have a strong willpower to excel in life, be it academic career, sports and music. He said that Vision Hill School has potential to compete in the prestigious football tournament like Subroto Cup (Under 15 Boys) in the coming years.

In this, he challenged the youngsters to be dedicated and take this coaching camp as a golden chance to qualify for the same.

Vision Hill School managing chairman Kethosituo Mepfhiio said that the vision of the coaching camp is to assemble sub-juniors team and to look for talents.

It also aims to nurture the youngsters “so that we can assemble Sub Juniors Boys team to represent Kohima district as well as the state in the upcoming Subroto Cup.”

He said that KDFA have been planning to introduce sub juniors girls team as well.

Mepfhiio informed that the Vision Hill School is planning to set up a football academy ad Futsal ground in the school compound.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Vision Hill School managing board secretary Peter Vizo. Over 50 boys and girls from Vision Hill School, Don Bosco school, St.Luke School, 4th NAP Regimental School, Mezhur High Thizama, Northfield and G.Rio School have registered for this coaching camp.

The coaching camp will be conducted by Leketoulie Liezietsu (AFC-C coach), Neiphrezolie Usou (AIFF- D Coach) and Thangchapu Rongmei (AIFF- D Coach).
