KOHIMA, JANUARY 17 (MExN): Project Zero in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) with its partner Imchen’s Customs Art School observed National Youth Day & Youth Week celebration cum painting and essay writing competition under the theme "Arise, Awake and Realise the Power You Hold" on January 12 at Tsiepfütsiepfhe Council Hall, AG Colony, Kohima. 

The program was graced by Medo Yhokha, Former MLA and Advisor to CM, as the special guest.  

In his address, special guest Medo Yhokha opined that the youths are the cornerstone of the nation. While reminding the gathering to 'live life to the fullest because life is beautiful but short,' Yhokha encouraged and challenged them to be 'ambassadors of change' and be a channel of blessing wherever one is placed in live. 

Delivering the key note address, John Makhabo, Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), gave a brief introduction of the works NYKS is currently undertaking in Nagaland. He also highlighted that National Youth Day is celebrated in commemoration of the birth of teacher, scholar and philosopher, Swami Vivekananda and urged all to avail and make use of the different government programmes and schemes available state-wise and nation-wise as well.

The main highlights of the day include painting and essay writing competition. Winners at the competition were Honli (1st), Shukiam (2nd), Sajano Zoe Ngulie (3rd) in Painting Junior category; Penli Jamir (1st), Jochebed Belho (2nd), Ansh (3rd) in Primary category and Junara Begum (1st), Nyumei Lakpanth (2nd) and Longtila Jamir (3rd) in Essay writing.
