Prominent leaders from BJP, INC join NPP in Nagaland

Prominent leaders from various political parties formally joined the NPP on June 25.

DIMAPUR, JUNE 25 (MExN): In a boost to the National People's Party (NPP) in Nagaland, several prominent leaders from various political parties formally joined the NPP at a programme held at the party headquarters on June 25.

A press release issued by the NPP Nagaland State Unit informed that the induction was held in the presence of MLA and NPP State President A Nyamnyei Konyak and State Executive Members. The new members were welcomed and inducted as primary members of the party.

Welcoming the leaders into the party fold, the NPP state president urged them to work with commitment for the welfare of the people of Nagaland and to contribute towards strengthening the party in the state.

Leaders who joined the NPP include: K James Vizo, Kikokul John Kulnu, Rosy Yanthan, Khehoshe Sumi, Chumbemo Ezung (from BJP) and Onen Jamir, Takaomoa, Marchiten, Takotemsu, Wangshimeren, John Patton, Nukshi Jamir, Imtionen, Bendangonen, Athrong Sangtam (from INC).

The NPP leadership expressed confidence that the inclusion of senior leaders from the BJP and Congress would bolster the party’s presence and outreach across Nagaland.
