
Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): A one day seminar on ‘Promoting Entrepreneurship in Nagaland’ was organised by the trainees of North East Institute of Social Science & Research (NEISSR) in collaboration with YouthNet, Peace Channel and Quest Alliance at NEISSR conference hall on May 12.
Speaking in the programme, one of the panellists, Bethel Tsuzu, Director of Mountain Music Academy and proprietor of Furtados Nagaland, shared her mantras of entrepreneurship summing it up as Curiosity, Passion and Frustration. Defining entrepreneur, Bethel said, he/she is an initiator, a challenger and a driver, who could be responsible and accountable and who is not only about making financial gains, informed a press release. She also cautioned about challenges like taxation and even competition from other entrepreneurs.
Zuboni Humtsoe, co-founder and Director of Precious Me Love, also a recipient of Nari Shakti Puruskar 2016, maintained that belief in oneself is of utmost importance. “Everything starts within oneself and everyone holds the power to change the world,” she asserted. Pointing out that the present world is run by entrepreneurs, she encouraged the participants not to wait for miracles to happen but create miracles of their own.
Another panellist, Imtisunep Longchar, Director of the e-commerce site ilandlo.com shared on the basics of entrepreneurship and encouraged the participants to learn smart. “The most important ingredient in entrepreneurship is the target area of customers and the selection of products or services,” he said. He also stressed that creating a value of products or services is important and customers should be attracted with the right and genuine services, the release added.
