Mokokchung, August 27 (MExN): With an aim to promote awareness on constitutional rights among the student community, the Mokokchung District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA) conducted its second essay competition at Mokokchung Law College on August 27.
The competition, conducted on the topic “Importance of Fundamental Rights”, was attended by higher secondary schools and colleges around Mokokchung.
Each institute was represented by two students. The result of the competition will be declared on September 1, informed MDLSA officials.
MDLSA also informed that competition carries cash prizes for the winners and certificates for the participants.
Meanwhile, MDLSA also informed that on September 1, MDLSA will be opening a Legal Aid Clinic at District Jail Mokokchung. Simultaneously an awareness programme on rights of prisoners and basic rights will be conducted for the inmates.
