Protagonists & Naga Political Solution

Ashinpou Gangmei, former Chairman of Alternative Arrangement & Dr Benjamin Gangmei, an academic

Adherents/protagonists of opportunism, directly or indirectly, lend themselves to principles, approach, etc. of the Agreed Position and reject the demand of Naga flag and Constitution asserting that the demand is not feasible or proposing that can be demanded in post-solution days. They are political opportunists who prepare to take available advantages and opportunities with little regard for national principles and consequences which may be ineluctable from the argument.

There is most likeliness of impetuous nature of agreement with this line of principles and approach. For their stand and stance take, unmistakably, breathe from partisanism and isolationism, not from true Naga nationalism whereby the future of the Nagas with the agreement is made bleak or on the brink of peril.

The protagonists of futurism, directly or indirectly support the principles, approach, etc. of the Frame-work Agreement and stick to national identity and future of the Nagas without which agreement, they warn, will be like previous agreements of 1963 & 1975. The adherents are cautious of any tailing off consequences to Naga political issue from the agreement. For they have regard for national principles.

The stand and stance of honourable solution, being wise-hearted from the pit-falls of the previous accords, bear hallmarks of true Naga nationalism. Yet, be on your mind that the Nagas, irrespective of regions, do not always remain imperturbable or impervious to external or internal divisive policy and ideology which are, at times, destructively operative. It is of such imperativeness that the solution is desired at any time, for which the twin demand (Naga Flag and Constitution) whose concession is apparently key to final agreement, should be resolved conditionally unconditional: from being conditional for an unconditional end.

Any agreement, if inked, should incorporate comprehensive, horizontal and vertical, base being resilient for building new national entity under which the Nagas are not disappointed but each region and group are ensconced in Nagalim in times of ages to come.
