DIMAPUR, JULY 26 (MExN): The Public Service Aspirants of Nagaland (PSAN) today questioned the Finance department as to why 9 posts of JDAs that were forwarded by the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts on April 28, 2017 have not been requisitioned to NPSC till date.
A press note from the PSAN demanded immediate requisitioning of the posts for the benefit of the aspirants and also to avoid any unwanted confrontation.
Further, it stated that in the Department of Tourism, the creation of 2 posts each of Tourist Officers and Tourist Assistants against Tuensang and Phek district was approved in the Cabinet Meeting held on May 23, 2016 but not a single post has been requisitioned to NPSC. “It will be dutiful on the part of the Department of Tourism to strictly follow the requisition policy and recruitment rules,” the PSAN said.
It further expressed surprise at the recent deputation of 1 UDA from NPSC to the Department of Rural Development as BDO/RDO. “Firstly, it is a complete violation of the government's deputation rules to depute a Class-III (non-gazetted) employee to a Class-I post. Secondly, it is very disappointing that NPSC, as a recruiting body that commands immense respect from the aspirants, could allow such illegal deputation to take place from its own office, adding to the woes of aspirants,” the PSAN said.
It asked the NPSC to immediately recall the mentioned individual to the parent department and also, that the resultant vacancy be requisitioned to NPSC by the Department of Rural Development.
The PSAN meanwhile reiterated its earlier demands issued to 4 departments that posts that fall within the purview of NPSC rightfully belong to the aspiring hardworking candidates and hence, should be requisitioned to NPSC without any further delay.
